Welcome to the newly re-installed copy of WordPress that I’ve stuck a basic template on until I can get time to theme everything properly.

After experimenting with tumblr for my site, I have returned to WordPress seeing as I know it inside out and is easy for me to make adjusts as much as I like.

If you have noticed a distinct lack of updates or activity from me of late it is due to me starting a new job at the start of 2012 as a web developer for Anthony Peters, a children’s art and craft manufacturer.

The results of my first few major projects have trickled onto the internet since February time and have caused me to develop a mild obsession with Amazon Seller Central among other things, which can’t be normal for anyone.

Part of my role at work is product photography which has sparked my interest in photography somewhat. Whilst my most recent camera  is a Kodak Retinette 1B from the 1960s I am on the lookout for a decent new camera.

The internet is a wonderful and place that makes it easier than ever to interact and keep in touch. However, as the internet becomes cluttered with social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn etc. it can take a real effort to keep everyone and everything up to date.

Thankfully there is a fantastic site I’ve found called If That Then This (ifttt.com).

The purpose of ifttt.com is simple, making it as easy as possible to keep everything up to date and relevant. The site allows you to create tasks that dictate what goes where (e.g. I have one that posts to twitter for every new blog post) and can even help keep things like your Profile Picture synced between sites.

You can even automate things as simple as automatically posting “Happy New Year” at midnight without you having to even think about it. Simple really, and well worth it.
